Story
This October, I’m taking on the Royal Parks Half Marathon!
I’ve chosen to run in support of The Children’s Book Project, a cause that is incredibly close to my heart.
As someone who has always loved getting lost in a good book, I know first-hand the magic that reading brings—the way it can transport you, teach you, and spark your imagination.
Becoming a mum has only deepened that belief. Watching my own daughter fall in love with reading has shown me just how vital access to books really is. I believe every child deserves the opportunity to discover their own favourite stories, regardless of their background.
Education and early access to books are the foundations upon which children build their futures. Unfortunately, not all children have books of their own at home. The Children’s Book Project works tirelessly to address "book poverty" by redistributing pre-loved books to children who need them most, ensuring that a love for reading isn't a privilege, but something every child can experience.
How you can help
Training for for a half-marathon is going to be a challenge, but knowing that every step is helping get more books into the hands of children makes it all worth it.
I would be so grateful for your support. Whether it’s £5 or £50, every single penny goes directly toward helping the charity collect, sort, and distribute books to children who are waiting for their next great story.
Please consider sponsoring my run—together, we can share the gift of reading. Thank you so much for your generosity!
