Story
Our beautiful friend Jen, had treatment and amazing support from Macmillan Cancer Support, and the Royal Marsden Hospital since arriving back in the UK from HK five years ago. The various different treatments helped to keep the cancer at bay, however, when it became terminal, the family were introduced to the Royal Trinity Hospice, who supported them all as a family whilst Jen battled courageously and valiantly until the very end.
During her final days the compassionate team at Royal Trinity Hospice provided the care and support she needed. They became part of daily life and part of the family. The various teams contributed hugely to the comfort and peace of her final days. From all who knew and loved Jen, a very big thank you to all the various teams at the Royal Trinity Hospice.
Trinity believe that every moment matters, so they go above and beyond to help their patients and their families make the most of every moment they have left.
Hospice care is as much about living as it is about dying. Trinity want to give their patients the time and support they need to make informed decisions about how they die. They will continue to be there after death, for those close to them, providing specialist emotional and practical support, no matter their age. Last year they cared for 2,500 people at the hospice and out in the community.
By sponsoring this Walk For Jen, you will enable The Royal Trinity Hospice to help care for others in a similar situation to ours. Part of the funds raised will also help contribute towards a bench placed on Wimbledon Common so people will have a place to remember Jen.
