Story
I was honoured to help at a Benefact Group & Ecclesiastical event in March which focussed on how businesses can help to eradicate homelessness, by working towards this common goal by taking one step at a time. On the panel of speakers was the inspirational CEO of The Passage, Mick Clarke. The Passage's vision is of a society where street homelessness no longer exists, and everyone has a place to call home.
The Passage is based in the heart of Westminster, providing practical support and a wide range of services to help transform the lives of people who are, or are at risk of, street homelessness.
With the cost of living crisis continuing, far too many people are just one bill away from homelessness. This is a dreadful thought when we are such a rich country. What scares me even more is that there are clear links to homelessness and modern slavery, with those on the streets being targeted or left there when they have fled.
So I am going to take one step myself...off the Lloyds of London "Inside Out" building on Wednesday 9 July and descend 289ft back to the ground.
I would really appreciate your support, so please donate what you can. Every gift, no matter how big or small, enables The Passage to help people who are experiencing homelessness to regain their confidence and hope for the future.
Thank you so much
Katie
