Story
Liwsi was born on 31st October 2023. She spent her first days in the NICU needing respiratory and feeding support. A routine chest X-ray revealed that she had only 11 sets of ribs instead of the usual 12. Doctors reassured her parents this wouldn’t affect her, but they suggested running genetic tests just to be safe.
Three weeks later, they received the devastating news that would change their lives forever. Liwsi was diagnosed with not just one, but two rare genetic conditions. With little information available, their world turned upside down. They left the hospital feeling completely lost and alone.
Since then, Liwsi’s journey has been full of hospital stays, countless appointments, and the children’s ward becoming like a second home. At just 2 years old, she has faced more than most of us will in a lifetime
What your support will help with 🤍
Every pound raised from this skydive will go directly towards the therapies and support that help Liwsi move, grow and experience the world more freely.
Weekly private physiotherapy (around £300–£350 a month) has already made a huge difference to Liwsi’s movement and posture — showing a 55% improvement since April. Continuing this therapy is vital for maintaining and building on that progress.
Osteopathy (£120–£170 a month) helps relieve stiffness and pain in Liwsi’s hand, where her fingers can lock and stop her from grasping or playing — easing frustration and supporting functional use.
We would love to give Liwsi monthly hydrotherapy (£130–£150 per session). She previously accessed this through the NHS but long waiting lists mean long waits in-between sessions. In the water, Liwsi can move in ways she can’t on land — it brings her calm, comfort and joy.
Looking ahead, feeding therapy will be essential to support Liwsi’s safety, nutrition and independence, with costs expected to be around £10,000.
Even simple family experiences come with added challenges — including specialist travel insurance, which can cost £600–£800, making things many families take for granted far harder to achieve.
This skydive isn’t just a brave leap — it’s a powerful step towards giving Liwsi the support, comfort and opportunities she deserves.
Thank you for helping us keep fighting for her future. 💛
