Story
I’m excited to share that I will be running a half marathon on August 30, 2025, to support the Ménière’s Society and raise awareness for a condition that affects many lives. As someone who lost their hearing at the age of 19 due to Ménière’s disease, I understand firsthand the challenges it brings. This condition, which includes hearing loss, vertigo, and tinnitus, impacts approximately 1 in 1,000 people. While I am fortunate to experience only mild symptoms, there are many who face significant obstacles that can diminish their quality of life.
The journey to my diagnosis was daunting and isolating. It is this experience that fuels my passion for raising awareness about Ménière’s disease and supporting the incredible work of the Ménière’s Society. This charity is dedicated to helping individuals battling vestibular disorders by providing essential support, information, and funding for vital research. They play a crucial role in making those affected feel less alone in their struggles.
I am aiming to raise £500 for this amazing charity. Your generous donations will not only help fund important initiatives but also spread awareness about this often-overlooked condition. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those affected by Ménière’s disease. Thank you for your support! 🫶🏻
