Our charity helps to provide emotional and pastoral support to ladies and their families diagnosed with cancer by way of monthly support meetings. We also raise funds towards much needed Chemo Kits, councelling, home help and much more

Story

Ok….here it goes…I’m climbing a mountain…yes me…an actual mountain, not just a big hill….(Snowdon is a mountain right?!)

I work with a fabulous lady who runs an even more fabulous charity, a charity I 100% believe in , it’s Terrible Titties and Other bitties, which is a local breast cancer charity.

When a woman is diagnosed with cancer, her whole world can change in an instant.

Life can become a rollercoaster of medical treatments. She can quickly lose her confidence and feel isolated. Cancer takes a toll on both her mental and physical health, long after medical treatment has finished.

Rachael experienced this herself and the effects of cancer had on her wellbeing and set about providing an emotional support network of help and services that conventional support groups didn’t offer. Inclusivity and a warm welcome lies at the heart of everything the charity offers.

Regular meet-ups provide a vital social lifeline for women to meet others experiencing cancer.

Working with local professionals, Terrible Titties not only offers talking and holistic therapies and medical engagement that offers advice on a wide range of post cancer and surgery problems, they also offer a range of help and services and try to offer the little things that provide emotional and pastoral support for a lady so that might be a relaxing massage session, help with housework during exhausting chemotherapy treatment, chemo companion bags containing products for women in hospital, to help alleviate side-effects of treatment.

Following the amazing success of two Charity Balls, Terrible Titties have been able to offer its members wellbeing retreat weekends, they have also provided two mobile scanning machines for Stafford County Hospital and Royal Stoke Hospital to help to speed up referrals following surgery. As well as this they have been able to buy training aids for New Cross Hospital to raise awareness of breast cancer in the community. If you want to know more please visit terribletitties.org

In an effort to raise awareness and some money I am attempting to climb Snowdon!

Now some may not see this as much of a challenge, but anyone that knows me knows I struggle to climb the stairs….yes I’ve done the Wrekin (see picture for photographic evidence), and was unbelievably proud of myself for it (can I get an applause?!) and when I said to my sister (who likes to tackle Snowdon on a regular 🙄) that Snowdon can’t be much higher right?! She nearly spat her post workout protean shake (yes she’s THAT girl) in my face!

She got the fitness gene (she plays rugby for crying out loud) and I most definitely DID NOT (I complain at standing on the sidelines of Oliver’s football matches 😬)

So, this IS a challenge and I WILL moan 98% of the way up and probably act like I’ve just won gold in the 2024 Paris Olympics on the way down, and not shut up about my ‘achievement’ for approximately 17 months!

Please support me and this very worthy charity by donating just a few pennies, or pounds if you’re feeling spenny….and I promise I will withhold from moaning and gloating in your presence!

Much love!

…..did I mention I was doing it dressed as a 6ft boob…..?!!!
