We are a team of friends, work colleagues and family who are passionate about supporting both the Herriot Hospice Homecare team and Herriot Hospice @ the Lambert.

The homecare team were an invaluable support to our mum and family in the last few weeks of her life. The care, compassion and empathy they showed and advice they gave was simply brilliant.

Since mums death, we have been involved with lots of fundraising activities helping to get the doors of Herriot Hospice @ The Lambert open, so why not one more 😘.

This amazing charity, Herriot Hospice @ The Lambert aim is to bring inpatient care, bereavement, and emotional well-being support closer to home for the people of Hambleton and Richmondshire, keeping families together at the hardest times. Their plan is to open a refurbished Lambert in Autumn 2023 having already raise over £1 million, a further £600,000 is required to ensure its doors open as scheduled.

Thirsk as a community has really come together to support this venture and the amazing news is that, together we have surpassed the huge target and the hospice will open this Autumn 🍾🥂.

However, we cannot stop there. The Hospice is a charity and so requires funds to keep it going on a DAILY basis. Not only are they caring for patients, they support families with bereavement and wellbeing care too. AMAZING!

This is why our crazy bunch is taking on the 3 peaks, to keep bringing in the cash to support OUR local hospice and the team who work within it.

With more and more people currently being diagnosed with cancer, you never know if you may need the Herriot team.
