Story
I’m taking on the Continuous 100K Ultra Challenge to raise money for CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably), CALM is a charity dedicated to preventing suicide and supporting people struggling with their mental health.
This cause is very close to my heart after having personal experiences with mental health difficulties and the aftermath of them. Watching people you love navigating the uncertainty of where to turn when they are struggling and losing people to mental health serves as a reminder that there is so much more to be done, so much more support to be offered to end the stigma and provide help for those in need before it is too late.
Mental health struggles affect millions of people every day, yet too many people still suffer in silence. By pushing myself to complete 100 km continuously, I want to raise awareness, start conversations, and help fund the vital services that support those who are struggling and those who don’t have access to NHS services due to extensive waiting lists and lack of funding.
This challenge will test me both physically and mentally, but every step I take will be for those who need support, understanding, and hope.
If you can, please consider donating. Every contribution, big or small, will help make a difference and support people who need it most.
Thank you so much for your support, encouragement, and generosity. It truly means the world.
“We’re Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM), and we’re a suicide prevention charity. We’ve got loads of tools and resources to help people find the support they need, including a life-saving helpline for people who can’t see a way forward, have lost someone to suicide, or are worried about their friends or loved ones.
£12.20 is enough to fund one potentially life-saving call.”
