Story
Less than 1% of people will ever run a marathon. I never thought I would be one of them—until I found my why.
I wasn’t interested in running 26.2 miles just to say I had done it. I needed a reason bigger than myself. That reason came when my mom was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. MS has also affected my family across generations—my grandmother lived with it most of her life. While the disease was far more debilitating for her, my mom has benefited from advancements in treatment, and those advances exist because of fundraising, research, and people willing to step up.
That’s why I’m running the London Marathon—to raise money to help find a cure for MS.
When I cross the finish line in London, I’ll be thinking of my mom, my grandmother, and everyone living with MS. This marathon is more than a race—it’s a chance to turn miles into momentum and hope into progress. And while I once thought this would be a one-and-done experience, I’ve learned never to say never..
