On 6th April 2025 we (Natalie and Katie) will be running the London Landmarks Half Marathon in memory of our lovely aunty Cheryl, who sadly lost her battle with Cystic Fibrosis in 2009.

Neither of us have ever completed a challenge like this (we are NOT runners!) having at most only ever completed a 10k (Katie) and an 8k (Natalie), so for us this is a real challenge. Last year we did our first ever 5k park run together and now we’re training to take on this 21k half marathon. It will be a tough challenge, but hopefully a fun one!

Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a genetic condition which causes sticky mucus to build up in the lungs and digestive system. It affects more than 10,800 people in the UK. One in 25 of us carries the faulty gene that causes it, usually without knowing.

Cystic fibrosis comes with challenges, affecting our physical health, mental wellbeing and how we choose to live our lives. But our community is uniting towards the ultimate goal of effective treatment for all.
