Story
Hi everyone, Here I go again….
On the 21st of April I will be running the London 2024 marathon in aid of MND, Motor Neurone Disease.
In 2019 Rob was diagnosed with MND at the young age of 37. Rob has given so much to MND in hope to raise so much awareness of a disease what has devastated so many families. Rob has been and still is so strong in putting up the bravest fight.
Rob amazes me how much he smiles through everything he is going through and is so strong even at his worst time. This December marks 5 years since Robs diagnosis when he was given 1 to 2 years to live and he is still as determined as ever to keep fighting this awful disease even after how much it has taken away from him.
This is where my inspiration to take on another marathon comes from. Last year in May was My first ever marathon, the Leeds Rob burrow marathon. I didn’t raise any money for this as I wasn’t sure I could even do half let alone a marathon but I did!
Now I’m facing my next one in April, I believe in myself that little bit more this time and want raise some funds for Motor Neurone Disease. This is a close charity to us as a family and I want to give something no matter how big or small to the MND research in hope that one day we can be a world free from MND.
I wanted to do one more marathon, one more go at pushing myself to my limit and what a way to say “ my last marathon” will be the London 2024.
