Run for St Luke's, TCS London Marathon 2026

Story

So as some of you know, I was incredibly lucky and on my ninth time of trying, got a ballot place for the 2026 TCS London Marathon 😬 after Edinburgh last year, I swore off doing any more marathons BUT London is THE bucket list run for me, and is quite literally a once in a lifetime opportunity (as I have no intention of entering the ballot again either 😂).

I’ve been plodding along, getting the miles in, and with under 6 weeks to go (eek!) I realised that I would love to not only have the opportunity to run in this amazing event, but to do so whilst trying to raise awareness and a few more pennies for the incredible St Luke’s Hospice Plymouth. The importance of the work they do cannot be overstated - I’ve spent time in the hospice and with the compassionate, kind, talented people who work there, and have the utmost respect for the work they do. Almost everyone in Plymouth and the surrounding areas will have had contact with St Luke’s either directly or indirectly - at any one time they are caring for 300 people, so every penny counts.

I know I’ve asked before, but if you are able to sponsor any amount, it would be so hugely appreciated, and will get me through the last few weeks of training. Whether I raise a total of £10 or £100, I’ll be proudly donning my St Luke’s vest again on Sunday 26th April and I can’t wait!
