Story
I’m taking part in the Kiltwalk to support Stirling Carers Centre because they have been a lifeline for me over the years. My mum has always suffered with her health and growing up with that has brought challenges that many people don’t see. As a young carer and now as an young adult carer, I’ve had to navigate complex emotions, responsibilities and situations that were often overwhelming.
The Stirling Carers Centre has been there for me through it all - offering understanding support and a place to be seen and heard. They’ve helped me cope, connect with others in similar situations and reminded me that I’m not alone.
This walk is my way of giving something back and raising awareness for the incredible work they do for carers like me. Every step I take is for those who care behind the scenes, often without recognition, and for the people who support them so selflessly
