Story
In March 2020 at the age of 32 I was diagnosed with Stage three, grade three Breast Cancer. After treatment that included chemo, a single mastectomy, radiotherapy and immunotherapy (all during COVID), I rang the bell and started to rebuild my life with my Hubby and two young children.
That was until I went out for a run in June 2022 and had a seizure in the middle of a road. It was then found to have spread to my brain. It was now incurable and I needed brain surgery to remove the tumour. Six months after this the tumour began to grow again and I needed to have cyberknife radiotherapy to the area, it was a success!
However we have just received the devastating news that it is now growing on the side of my head. I am awaiting my next treatment plan.
Throughout my breast cancer journey Breast Cancer Now have been a constant source of useful information (no one should use Dr Google haha), support and most importantly their work into research is so important as without it I wouldn’t be here.
I want to push myself and the London Marathon has always been on my bucket list. So there is no time like the present! I want to raise as much money as possible as Breast Cancer Now are making a real difference to the lives of those who are touched by this awful disease!
We’re Breast Cancer Now, the charity that’s steered by world-class research and powered by life-changing support.
We’re here for anyone affected by breast cancer, the whole way through, providing support for today and hope for the future.
