Story
On Wednesday, 29th May 2024 at 8:40pm my world changed forever. My husband, John, came home from work complaining of discomfort in his chest and back. He thought he had indigestion and insisted he was not seriously unwell. I decided to ignore him. I went ahead and called an ambulance anyway but, by the time it reached us, John had collapsed. I gave him cpr and kept him alive during this time. However, the lack of oxygen to his brain as a result of the blockage of a single major artery proved impossible for anyone to survive. As a family we are naturally devastated by his loss.
John loved Reeds RFC and, for many years, whilst our sons have been growing up, was a committed member of the Mini and Youth sections. Until recently he was found cheering on the Seniors most Saturdays and very involved in filming matches and giving his strong opinions on anything he was asked about :-) . We would like to raise funds for Reeds Weybridge RFC in memory of John.
Reeds Weybridge RFC has over 500 boys & girls playing rugby. The club is committed to providing the best facilities and support for all players. Funds raised will go to improving the club amenities, catering area, floodlighting (with the aid of RFU grants) & continue to develop coaching excellence.
