This year i’m stepping up my Mileage even more and have signed up to take on the Race to the stones!

Last year we had heartbreak in our family when my cousins little boy Brody sadly became a star in the sky after being diagnosed with a rare brain tumor (DIPG)

He fought so bravely but sadly it was terminal and he gained his angel wings in May. His family had amazing support from many charities and Brody was able to have amazing experiences, Disneyland Paris and meeting the England footballers just a few.

Last year when i ran the Ridgeway 40. There was a section on that run where a feint rainbow appeared - little did i know at the time that Brody was on his last days. I take comfort in that moment as i feel he was with me and it was his way of saying bye. The ridgeway will now always be extra special to me so it seems only fitting a year on that i take on this challenge in his memory. I know its going to hurt but im sure Brody will be cheering me on. He was a sporty kid and loved his football and running.
