Story
In April 2027, I will be taking on the challenge of running the 10th anniversary edition of the London Landmarks Half Marathon for a special cause in memory of my Grandma.
On 25th June 2026, we sadly lost my wonderful Grandma to dementia.
She was the best grandma anyone could ask for—not just to me, but to Liv and Billy too. She was kind, loving, caring, and always smiling and singing. She filled our lives with so much love, laughter, and precious memories that we will treasure forever.
To honour her memory, I will be running the London Landmarks Half Marathon. Every mile I run is dedicated to her and to the countless families whose lives have been affected by dementia.
Dementia is not a single disease, but a group of conditions that affect memory, thinking, behaviour, and the ability to carry out everyday tasks. It gradually takes away a person's independence and has a devastating impact on both those living with the condition and the people who love them.
If you're able to, your donation, no matter how big or small, will help raise awareness and support vital research and care for those affected by dementia.
Thank you for your kindness and support, and for helping me honour the memory of an incredible grandma who will always hold a special place in our hearts. ❤️
