Katie's fundraiser for East Cheshire NHS Trust Charitable Fund

Katie Edwards is raising money for East Cheshire NHS Trust Charitable Fund

Walking 70 miles in June · 1 June 2026

We're a local charity that works hand in hand with our incredible healthcare services to help them go above and beyond for patients, families and staff. We believe that everyone deserves access to the best possible healthcare, and our mission is to support our local NHS to help them deliver it.

Story

My twin boys Ronnie and Ray are now 7 months old. And back to their early arrival in Macclesfield Hospital they arrived at 35weeks+1 day and stayed within the special care unit for 17 days. And the care was incredible. My partner Luke and I are always so thankful for the care for our twin boys.

Within the special care unit, they have a room for family’s and facilities. And this money would go towards this to make their stay more comfortable. And towards supplies such as nappies, wipes etc. For the arrivals of premature babies. Or babies in need of extra care.

I want to try and give back in some way so I thought I would take on a challenge of 70 miles. To donate for such a special cause for premature babies as this is very close to my heart for Ronnie and Ray also.

Whether it’s as little as a £1. Let’s raise money for the Special Care Baby Unit in Macclesfield.

I will keep you all updated on my progress throughout June. Wish me luck😂🫶🏻
