Story
Hello friends, family, and fellow supporters,
We are really excited to share with you an upcoming challenge we are leading in support of the Friends of the Holy Cross. As many of you know, the Holy Cross Hospital has been a significant part of our family's life for the past 25 years. They have provided unwavering care and support to our mum who was left quadriplegic after a tragic car accident in 1999.
The Holy Cross team has gone above and beyond during this time, ensuring our mum remains an integral part of our lives. From regular home visits to attending Christmas masses at church, front row seats at the Olympia Horse Show, and many beach trips to Selsey.
To mark Mummy’s 25th year at the Holy Cross, and in acknowledgment of the amazing things the team do, Lottie and I will be lacing up on Sunday 17th November (Mummy’s birthday! 🥳) to run 1 km for every year since Mummy’s accident. That’ll be 25 km starting and finishing at the Holy Cross Hospital (with a few Haslemere hills in the middle!).
💖 How You Can Help:
Come join us! We would love for as many of you to come run/ walk/ cycle with us if you can. We will be shortly plotting a route that will give everyone some options to participate for as little or as long as they like, on wheels or feet! If that’s not for you, we would love to see you at The Holy Cross finish line with Katie. We expect to start at 10am, but final timings TBC. This will be followed by a post-run refreshment provided by the Holy Cross in the canteen upstairs. If anyone would like to support with cakes and anything else, please let us know.
The Holy Cross have kindly agreed to let us use the shower facilities on site post-run.
Even if you can't physically be present on the day, you can still be a part of this journey by making a donation on our JustGiving page. Your generous contributions will directly impact the lives of, not only our mum, but also others who rely on the exceptional care provided by Holy Cross.
Your support means the world to us and our family. Thank you for taking the time to read this message and for considering supporting this cause that is so close to our hearts.
With love,
Lucy & Lottie xx
P.S. Stay tuned for updates on our training – fingers crossed for knees and lungs to hold out until the big 2️⃣5️⃣!
