On the 27th April 2025, I will join over 50,000 other runners on the start line of the London Marathon. It will be just a few days after the 1 year anniversary of my dear mum's passing, and I will be running in her memory, and for the amazing Phyllis Tuckwell hospice who looked after her with such care and compassion in the last few months of her life.

It was a promise I'd made to her 12 months before - that I'd run the London marathon for her - as we shared the photos and medal from Bryan's brilliant race in 2024. She was a seasoned and dedicated marathon cheerleader, always happy to come and support, and I know will be with me as I run the 26.2 miles around our capital city... And so here I am!...

Phyllis Tuckwell is the only Hospice Care service for adult patients, their families and carers, living with an advanced or terminal illness, such as cancer, heart, lung or neurological disease, across the whole of West Surrey and part of North East Hampshire. My family and I were so grateful for the support they gave us during my mum's illness, and I am honoured to be running as part of their 2025 London Marathon team.
