Story
I'm running the Paris Marathon 2026 in support of Dementia UK — in honour of everyone affected by dementia, and especially in memory of my incredible Grandad, who we sadly lost in 2015.
He was truly one of a kind — a kind, strong, and unforgettable man who meant the world to our family. You always knew he wasn’t far away if you could hear the jingle of coins in his pockets. That was him. Full of life, laughter, and love. This run is for him, and for the countless others impacted by this devastating condition. Every step I take is to raise awareness, inspire hope, and support the work Dementia UK does every day
Dementia UK is the specialist dementia nurse charity. Our nurses, called Admiral Nurses, provide life-changing care to families affected by all forms of dementia, including Alzheimer's disease. They help people with dementia stay independent for longer, and support the people caring for them so they have the strength to cope with the bad days, and the energy to enjoy the good days. They have the time to listen and the knowledge to solve problems, helping families take back control when they are struggling.
