Story
I’m walking 21 miles in one of my favourite stretches of coastline in my homeland of Wales, to remember the last time I was in Rhossili with my deeply devoted dad, Ian Davies, who died of cancer 2 years ago. This place was very dear to him and my mum, who took some extraordinary photos of seascapes and sunsets from their hotel bedroom window (I’m keeping the room number to myself or it’ll be booked out for years!).
I’ll also be thinking of other relatives and friends who have died too young. What a beautiful place to contemplate how precious they were to those who knew them and will forever remain so.
Marie Curie is here for anyone with an illness they’re likely to die from, and those close to them. Whatever the illness, wherever you are, we’re with you to the end. We bring 75 years of experience and leading research to the care we give you at home, in our hospices and over the phone. And we push for a better end of life for all by campaigning and sharing research to change the system.
Marie Curie is a charity working across the UK and we need your support to do our vital work.
