Story
I’ve taken on the ‘Peak the Reek’ challenge with friends from the WIH Business Network to raise funds for Fréa, a brilliant charity that supports vulnerable Irish people across the North of England.
In September, I’ll be travelling to County Mayo to climb the 2,500ft to the summit of Croagh Patrick — and I’m doing it because this cause is very close to my heart.
My mum gets brilliant support and friendship via Leeds Irish Health and Homes (a beneficiary of Frea) and that support means more to me than I can really explain. Knowing she’s not alone — that someone checks in, that she’s connected to her treasured Irish community — gives me so much comfort. It’s not just about the practical help, it’s the kindness, the humanity, and the sense that someone genuinely cares.

So I’m climbing this mountain for her — and for all the other mums, dads, and families who rely on LIHHs support every day.
If you can spare a donation, no matter how small, it would mean the world. Thank you 💚
