Those who know me may know that I lost my precious mum on 5th December. Mum lived with Alzheimer’s and vascular dementia for a number of years, but to the end, she did her best to cover her failing memory and did so with determination, as was mum throughout life! Mum was small in stature, but anyone who ever saw her out walking will know how fast those little legs could move…so what better way to honour her life and raise money for this great charity than walking. I’m in no doubt that I won’t be able to walk it as quickly as mum might have, but then it’s the taking part that counts! Your support will be very much appreciated.

Alzheimer’s Society are working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. They do this by giving help to those living with dementia today and by providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding ground-breaking research.
