Story
Once again we (Celia, Katrina, Karen and family members - spanning three generations) are donning our hiking boots to take part in the Starlight Hike in October - walking under the stars to help make sure more people get the expert care and support they deserve at the end of their life.
This year will be particularly poignant having lost our mum to cancer at the end of July. Mum fought bravely and stubbornly to the end and was supported at home by dedicated community nurses from Manorlands, these same nurses also provided invaluable support to us as a family. A brief stay in Manorlands gave mum the end of life care that she deserved and allowed us to spend precious time with her knowing that she was in the best of hands.
Last year, Sue Ryder delivered more than 655,000 hours of expert care. Every second was made possible by people who chose to get involved.
If you’re able to sponsor us, you’ll be helping make every step count — so more people can get the expert care and support they deserve when it matters most. Thank you so much for supporting us.
