Run 10k to Raise 10k · 29 March 2026

Lads and lasses!! It's time to lace up and get those bodies moving with our 'Run 10k to Raise 10k' challenge!! We are asking you to run 10k virtually or IRL in Manchester on Sunday 29th March 2026

Story

On the 29th March, I will be running 10k to raise money for those with broken hearts and empty arms.

I ran 10k once before back in 2019 and swore I would never do it again. But after everything I’ve been through, I now know that no physical challenge compares to childbirth.. especially giving birth to a baby who is no longer with you.

I am a member of "The Worst Girl Gang Ever” more than once over. After experiencing two miscarriages in 2024 and the stillbirth of my beautiful daughter, Maia, in 2025, my world has changed forever.

I wish I had known about this charity sooner. During my miscarriages, I felt lost, isolated and unsupported. Since losing Maia, The Worst Girl Gang Ever (TWGGE) has been nothing short of a lifeline. They provide support, education, understanding and most importantly a safe space for anyone affected by infertility, pregnancy loss or baby loss.

Even if you have been fortunate enough not to experience this pain yourself, I can almost guarantee unfortunately that someone you love has.

Through TWGGE, I’ve found people who truly understand... friends who know how it feels without needing explanations. These connections have helped me find pieces of myself again, encouraging me back into hobbies like reading (through their monthly book club) and even running.

The charity is currently working to get their self help guide into hospitals. I cannot put into words how much support like that would have meant to me during my miscarriages. If my run can help fund this then every painful step will be worth it. Trust me, my knees are reminding me regularly that they did not sign up to this!

TWGGE also runs weekly drop-in Zoom sessions and hosts experts who speak on a wide range of topics surrounding infertility, pregnancy loss and baby loss. I can honestly say from personal experience this support saves people from feeling alone in their darkest moments.

If you’re able to donate, no matter how small, you’ll be helping ensure that others receive the compassion, understanding, and support that so many of us desperately need and often don’t know where to find.

Thank you for reading. Thank you for caring and thank you for helping families like mine feel less alone. 💜
