Wirral Coastal Walk - 2025 · 6 July 2025

Paul-Joseph's Adventure Trust was set up after Paul sadly gained his angel wings on the 19th of July 2024 after a brave battle with Neuroblastoma. Now Paul’s family have set out to support other families.

Story

I'm planning to walk the full 12 miles of the Wirral coastal walk to raise money for the Paul-Joseph Adventure Trust,

Paul is the grandson of my friends Clare and Lisa, he loved nothing more than his yellow fireman's hat and his Waffle dog backpack and I'm sure he has those on his forever adventure he's doing wearing his crocs.

I've added his story below but also please join his Facebook page where you can see how the funds raised are used and also hear stories of the massive impact this lovely little boy had in his short 2 years.

"Paul-Joseph's Adventures trust was created in memory of Paul-Joseph Smith who was born a healthy happy baby on the 25th June 2022.

We got the devastating news that Paul-Joseph had stage four MYCN amplified high risk neuroblastoma on the 27th November 2023. Already it had spread throughout his body, although weeks before he was his complete happy, cheeky self.

Paul-Joseph underwent months of gruelling treatment and started induction chemotherapy on the 1st December 2023. His treatments included chemotherapy, radiotherapy and he also had the opportunity to be a part of a SIOPEN High Risk Neuroblastoma trial which gave us so much hope.

Sadly, after a huge fight our precious Paul lost his battle to neuroblastoma on the 19th July 2024 just weeks after his second birthday. He has left such a massive hole in all of our hearts.

Paul-Joseph had such a huge impact on so many lives and we vowed to keep his name and memory alive, and that's why we started Paul-Joseph's Adventures which is supported by the Bradley Lowery Foundation.

Our aim is to spread awareness of neuroblastoma, aid funding for resources and new treatments and to support children and their families when dealing with this horrific disease."
