In loving memory of Katy Wrathall

Dogs Trust is the largest dog welfare charity in the UK. We love all dogs, and the people who love dogs too. We care for dogs in need through our network of 22 centres across the UK and Ireland, finding them loving new homes. A dog is for Life, not just for Christmas ©

Story

It is with a broken heart that I have to share the devastating news that my amazing wife Katy has lost her battle with cancer and passed away.

I feel incredibly lucky that Katy chose to share her life with me and I have many wonderful memories that I cherish. I have been overwhelmed by the reactions of those of you that have also been fortunate enough to know Katy. She really was a force of nature, her kindness, intelligence and sharp sense of humor were matched only by her unwavering belief in fairness. She had a profound sense of justice, always standing up for what was right and never tolerating inequality, whether it was towards people or animals.

My life has been made immeasurably better thanks to her unfailing love, support and encouragement over the years. If you have also been positively affected by knowing her, I would be deeply grateful if you would consider making a donation to Dogs Trust—a charity Katy believed in with all her heart. Her love for animals, especially rescue dogs (as Sam, Spud, Ezzie and Mouse* would affirm), was something she carried with her every day. It feels like the perfect way to continue her selfless legacy of kindness and care.

Thank you for your kindness and support.

With love and gratitude,

Tim
