Please help me support a great cause close to my heart!
I have been working at Diagrama Foundation's dementia care centre, Edensor, as a registered nurse for more than two years - and my profession has become much more meaningful to me since starting out.
Beyond providing nursing care, I truly value being part of Edensor resident's everyday lives; listening to their inspiring stories, sharing moments of joy and helping to make their lives a little easier. Being able to support others and bring a smile to their faces is one of the most rewarding parts of my work.
In addition to this, as an immigrant from Nepal and far away from home, Edensor has given me a strong sense of belonging and feels like a second home.
Skydiving, along with bungee jumping, has always been something I have wanted to experience, but I never had the courage to face the fear. This time, I am stepping outside my comfort zone and challenging myself to take the leap with confidence.
I am proud to take this leap, not only to overcome my own fear, but also to support a cause that means so much to me.
The UK-registered charity supports vulnerable children and adults to live their best lives through fostering and adoption, day and residential services for adults with learning disabilities and dementia care services across the south east.
The skydive challenge hopes to raise £25,000, which will go towards creating life enriching experiences for the vulnerable people Diagrama supports so they can thrive.
