After chemo, surgery and radiotherapy, I got the all clear from Triple Negative Breast Cancer in 2022, only to have it confirmed as back again in December 2024. I'm currently having chemo and immunotherapy to hopefully rid myself again of this horrible disease. The company I work for - Visku - has generously arranged a charity walk to raise money for my chosen charity. Here is their pledge:
At Visku, we believe in the power of giving back, whether it’s through volunteering, supporting charitable causes, or lending a hand to those in need.
Our consulting team is passionate about making a difference. With one of our team members bravely fighting cancer, we felt compelled to take action and support Cancer Research UK, a charity that holds deep significance for us.
On the 4th of July, we will embark on a journey together, walking around Pitsford Water—a distance of 7.5 miles (12 km). While it may not seem like a long way, our commitment to each other and to this cause is what truly matters. We want to demonstrate that we care and ensure that every member of our team crosses the finish line together.
This is more than just a walk; it’s about standing in solidarity with those affected by cancer and advocating for vital research that can save lives. We invite you to join us in this mission by supporting our fundraising efforts. Our target is to raise £1,000 for Cancer Research UK. Every contribution counts and brings us one step closer to making a meaningful impact.
Together, let’s make a difference and show that hope can prevail against cancer.
