I have chosen to complete the Manaslu circuit in Western Nepal at an altitude of 5,160 metres above sea level in May, and I am raising money for "Give It Up For Pancan 2025," a charity dedicated to saving the lives of patients with pancreatic cancer. This will be my fourth high altitude trek in Nepal having completed Everest base camp, Annapurna circuit, Upper Mustang.
This challenge is not just a personal journey; it is a commitment to raise funds and awareness for Pancreatic Cancer Action, the only UK charity focused on saving lives through early diagnosis. Pancreatic cancer is the deadliest common cancer, with a staggering 93% of patients in the UK dying within five years of diagnosis. This reality underscores the urgent need for awareness and education about this disease.
Your vital support means that Pancreatic Cancer Action can continue its essential work in raising awareness of symptoms, ensuring early diagnosis, and enabling life-saving treatment. Every £20 you contribute helps keep our health information section on our website up to date, allowing individuals to easily access crucial information they need.
Together, we can make a difference and save lives. I invite you to join me in this mission. To find out more about our vital work or to support us, please visit panact.org.
Our target amount is £4,500 GBP. Your generosity can help us reach this goal and create a brighter future for those affected by pancreatic cancer.
