World Record Attempt - Fastest Female Crew to Kayak the Thames · 9 April 2024

Women and girls are missing out on the lifelong benefits of sport. We want to change this, now, for every woman and girl in the UK. From championing equality to using our insight to deliver new projects, we want to transform sport from the field of play to the board room. Are you in?

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

On the 9th of April, Nadia and I will embark on a 200km journey - from Lechlade in the Cotswolds to Teddington - as an attempt to set a world record for the fastest female crew to kayak the Thames (in less than 24 hours!).

We will be doing this to raise funds for the charity Women in Sport, who aim to understand why women may disengage from sport and provide solutions to inspire women to be more active regardless of their age, ability, body type or background.

We will also be doing this challenge in memory of our coach and friend, David Battershell (Batty) who sadly passed away in February 2024 but was a huge supporter of our K2 partnership and world record ambitions.
