We are 'Jumping for Jo' !

will be jumping out of a plane🪂 pretty much together from 10,000ft.🪂

None of us have done this before!🪂

Are we mad?🪂

Two years ago, we lost an extraordinary woman who had a remarkable ability to make people feel loved, valued and, above all, that they belonged.

Jo opened her heart to neighbours, friends and so many people who came into her life. She had a wonderful way of making people feel that they mattered, and she became a very special part of the lives of so many people around her.

Her grandson, Simon and her godson, Sean both of whom she loved dearly, are still devastated by her loss two years on. They wanted to do something that would honour the incredible woman she was, celebrate the very special place she held in their lives, and raise funds for the incredible hospice that cared for her with such love, dignity and compassion.

So, together with the Sean’s wife, Kaylee, they are taking on something rather terrifying — a parachute jump in memory of Jo.

“Jumping for Jo” will take place on 30 August at Go Skydive at Old Sarum Airfield, Salisbury.

It is their way of giving something back to the Countess of Brecknock Hospice Andover that cared for her so wonderfully.

Jo may no longer be with us, but the love she gave so freely continues to live on in all those whose lives she touched.

The Countess of Brecknock Hospice is an amazing place & will receive all donations.

We are calling it jumping for Jo aka Miss Hibbert.... But will also be doing it for many other friends who have had a loved one receive end of live care at the Hospice.

The Countess of Brecknock Hospice provides respite and palliative care to adults suffering from life-limiting illness who live in Andover and its surrounding villages or who have a connection with the area, together with comfort and support for their families, friends and carers.

We are hugely reliant on voluntary donations to maintain the exceptionally high standard of services and care we provide. Put simply, if we don't support the Hospice, it won't be there to help when it is needed.
