I’ve decided to take part in the Edinburgh Marathon in May 2025 to raise money for my chosen charity Dogs Trust.

Dogs Trust is a great charity in the UK who help support the needs, care and re-homing of our beloved man’s best friend over and over again.

I was inspired to support this charity for my first ever marathon by my own dog, Buster who recently celebrated his 17th which we’ve all been so grateful for (the old man is a complete legend). Along with all the other dogs who have joined our family since Buster, I’d like to help raise money to support more dogs out there who are going through a difficult time and need support and a loving family out there to take care of them.

Buster has given our family unconditional love over the past few years from the get go and under any circumstance that came our families way, he’s loved and protected us with his heart and soul. He’s not just a dog he’s our family. He’s completely appreciated by all of us in so many ways and on behalf of him I’d like to help more dogs out there be looked after and be re homed so they can have just a fulfilled life as he has had to this point. So I’m doing it for him and what he’s done for us.

Dogs really are the most selfless creatures and a complete gift from god: ‘A dog has no use for fancy cars, big homes, or designer clothes. A water log stick will do just fine. A dog doesn't care if yyou’rerich or poor, clever or dull, smart or dumb. Give him your heart and he'll give you his.’

I’d like to raise as much money for the charity as I possible and can’t wait to complete my first marathon in my home country on behalf of humanities love of dogs. Let’s do this!
