Story
In February 2025, I had the immense honor of taking over as the Commanding Officer of Dumfries Sea Cadets. This role is the culmination of a journey that began over a decade ago when I first walked through these doors almost 12 years ago as a 13-year-old cadet.
The skills I learned and the confidence I gained here stayed with me as I transitioned to a staff member at 18, and they continue to shape who I am today. I have seen firsthand how this unit transforms shy cadets into confident, capable young adults. Now, I’m taking on the AJ Bell Great Scottish Run to ensure our current cadets have even better opportunities than I did.
My goal is to raise vital funds to enhance our unit's resources and unlock specialist training experiences that are currently out of reach. By running this half marathon, I hope to provide the tools our cadets need to excel. Every donation goes towards helping the next generation navigate their future with confidence.
