Kazza's Marathon Fundraiser for Brain Tumour Research

London Marathon 2025 · 27 April 2025 ·
I feel incredibly fortunate to have secured a ballot space for the London Marathon, and I'm using this opportunity to make a difference by raising funds for Brain Tumour Research. This cause is deeply personal to me, as I’m running in memory of two extraordinary individuals who were taken far too soon—Nicolette Richardson and Robert Witham.
Nicolette (Nicky) Richardson was a beloved osteopath in Richmond who touched the lives of so many with her kindness and selflessness. Always ready to lend a hand, Nicky passed away unexpectedly in November 2020 at the age of 41, after being taken ill very suddenly.
Robert (Rob) Witham, my stepbrother, was a dedicated postman in Essex with a bright spirit and a kind heart. Tragically, after experiencing severe headaches, Rob fell into a coma and passed away in March 2018 at the age of 44 at Easter time.
Brain tumours are the leading cause of cancer-related deaths among children and adults under 40, yet only 1% of the national spend on cancer research is directed toward combating this devastating disease. Brain Tumour Research is the UK’s sole national charity committed to funding sustainable, long-term research to find a cure.
Please join me in this fight. Together, we can work toward a future free from brain tumours. Every donation brings us closer to making that a reality.
