The Woolverstone and Oncology Day Unit holds a very special place in my family’s heart. It is where my Grandad is currently receiving palliative chemotherapy, after being diagnosed with Cancer in April 2025 — news that completely changed all of our lives.

My Grandad is my true hero. Even on the hardest days, he refuses to let anything dull his sparkle. He is a fighter in every sense of the word, and he faces this illness with courage, humour, and determination.

The staff at the Oncology Day Unit have been nothing short of incredible. Their kindness, compassion, and dedication have supported not only my Grandad, but every patient who walks through their doors. They deserve recognition for the extraordinary care they provide every single day.

I am raising money to help both the Woolverstone and Oncology day unit continue expanding, so even more patients can receive treatment in a calm, supportive, and dignified environment. Every donation — big or small — will help the Unit continue its vital work for people living with cancer.
