Having recently lost my beloved grandmother this month who went peacefully at the age of 92, its not lost on me that she went through many NHS managed operations including a knee replacement where she was really well looked after and was given incredible support and help both in hospital and at home.

Before xmas I also experienced firsthand the efforts of the NHS helping my grandfather-in-law deal with and recover from a significant stroke, this is a cause that is close to my heart and worthy of attention and support.

I am participating in the London Landmarks Half Marathon 2024 to raise funds for the Norwich & Norfolk Hospitals charity. The charity is dedicated to improving the healthcare experience for patients and supporting the wellbeing of hospital staff. With your help, they can make a real difference in the lives of those who rely on our healthcare system. Additionally, fundraising efforts will go towards creating a more engaging and comfortable hospital environment. This includes improving waiting areas and providing better staff room facilities for their hardworking nurses and hospital staff.

The charity goes above and beyond what the NHS can fund, making it possible to provide these 'extras' that enhance patient care and support medical advancements.
