Last year, I lost my Grandad to cancer. St Elizabeth Hospice provided the whole family with support from diagnosis to the day we sadly lost him and even after that to our grieving family.

All of the staff at the hospice made sure my Grandy's final days were as comfortable as they could be. Even when he wasn't aware of what was happening around him towards the end, they treated him with the upmost respect and compassion and for that, I will be forever grateful we were able to remember him clean, with his dignity and comfortable.

St Elizabeth Hospice is only 30% funded by the NHS - that other 70% comes from fundraising. I want to raise money to help provide nurses to people who need them, no matter the time of day, and for beds for patients to end their lives comfortably.
