Story
Thank you for visiting our JustGiving page!
KCL Tennis is proud to work with The Queen's Club Foundation (QCF) for the third consecutive academic year. QCF is our club charity, and they work tirelessly to create inclusive, engaged, and healthy communities in Hammersmith & Fulham and beyond. Their mission is to improve the lives of young people, particularly those from underserved communities and individuals with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), through racket sports.
QCF runs several ground breaking initiatives, including:
1. Community Club Programme: Promoting tennis at the grassroots level.
2. Inclusive Player Pathway: Supporting SEND players of all abilities.
3. Women and Girls Programme: Encouraging female participation in tennis.
4. Para Standing Tennis Hub: Supporting the development of Para Standing Tennis in London
5. Inclusive Hotspots: Working with Middlesex Tennis to improve social inclusion, health and community engagement through tennis across six areas of inclusion
These programmes harness the power of tennis to effectively address broader social issues, making QCF an industry leader in inclusive sports development.
How QCF Has Supported KCL Tennis?
The Queen’s Club Foundation has generously supported KCL Tennis in many ways, including:
- Hosting exhibition matches and facilitating opportunities to hit with QCF Coaches/Ambassadors at our Open Days.
- Organising a bespoke Disability History Month event at The Queen’s Club.
- Providing voluntary and paid work opportunities for our members.
We are incredibly grateful for their support, which has enriched our club and its members.
Our Fundraising Efforts
Now it’s our turn to give back! We’ve planned several exciting fundraisers to support QCF’s incredible work, including:
- A match between our social secretaries, Raghav and Joep (Round 2!)
- A pub quiz.
- A tennis tournament.
Every donation, big or small, makes a difference. Every £1 raised will go directly to grassroots tennis initiatives, helping QCF continue their vital work.
