We provide a range of services in Herefordshire and the surrounding area to people living with a terminal illness. Care is free to patients, their families and carers. This is thanks to supporters taking part in events, visiting our shops, playing our Lottery, donating and leaving gifts in wills.

Story

The Hospice multi-disciplinary team includes doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, complementary therapists, social workers, chaplains and counsellors. These specialist Hospice staff work together, often in partnership with the NHS, to relieve patients' symptoms, manage their pain and help them live as well as possible until the end of life. It is vital that everyone who needs it has access to the care and support required to cope with the complex emotions and life changes that come with a terminal illness.

This cause is incredibly close to my heart. My dad is currently receiving palliative care at St Michael's Hospice, and I honestly cannot put into words how amazing every single member of the team has been. Nothing is ever too much trouble, and they treat not only him but our whole family with such kindness, compassion and dignity. Knowing he is so happy, comfortable and genuinely cared for brings us immense comfort during the hardest of times.

The team doesn't just provide medical care—they make moments that matter possible. When we thought all hope was lost, they went above and beyond to help make it possible for my dad to attend a Snow Patrol concert. It had always been one of his dreams, and thanks to their dedication and determination, they made it happen. They gave him memories that our family will treasure forever.

St Michael's Hospice doesn't just care for patients; they create joy, preserve dignity and make every moment count. We will be forever grateful for everything they have done for my dad and our family.
