HELPING US TO CHANGE MINDS ABOUT MEN'S MENTAL HEALTH.

MANUP? raise awareness about mental health among men through our charity. There are times when we laugh. Other times, we get serious. We sometimes discuss awkward topics. Occasionally, we will make a mistake. MANUP? Founded by a man who wished to change mental health for the better. Men talking to men about mental health developed into a fully registered charity that is chipping away at stigma.

It's time to stop using the term 'man up'. MANUP? seeks to rebrand that awful phrase.

Suicide Prevention is close to our hearts as a band and we want to do what we can to help people who may be at risk of suicide.

Husband of Kat (The Surge vocalist) died as a result of suicide in May 2020, as such we can familiarise with the inexplicable loss and trauma that this causes so many, but equally the despair and overwhelming sadness that can lead to suicidal feelings, some of which have a very swift onset.

We would like to reduce that risk and prevent the pain that ripples out when loved ones are stricken by this. Anyone can hit crisis point - MANUP? is doing all they can to support men in opening up and getting support rather than being oppressed by the notion that men should not show their feelings.
