Keira's 457 Lengths for JTYAF
We support young people to follow their dreams and ambitions

Story

The John Thornton Young Achievers Foundation (JTYAF) was formed and set up in memory of Lieutenant John Thornton who was tragically killed in Afghanistan (Helmand Province) on the 30th March 2008. John Thornton sacrificed his life whilst serving for the 40 Commando Royal Marines. This is my chosen charity which has aided thousands of young people to pursue their aspirations and dreams across the UK.

I am raising money as a part of the Junior Leaders Course 24 and John Thornton was named Top Student of this course in 2004.

To raise my funds I will be swimming 457 lengths over the next few months until the 25th March 2024 in honour of the 457 British Soldiers that sadly lost their lives during this time in Afghanistan.

Any donations are welcome. There is a link on my profile for donations or sharing my fundraiser would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks,

Keira
