Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
I have decided to cycle the London to Brighton bike ride on the 13th of September 2026 with my good friend James Rowe on behalf of the Tommy Crush Foundation and I would really appreciate your help in raising money for this cause.
The Tommy Crush Foundation is a charity that helps teenagers vulnerable to suicide. The foundation was setup in memory of it's namesake Tommy who was a family friend that tragically took his own life at just 17 on 21st May 2018.
In the words of Tommy's mum Lisa:
"The Foundation exists to support teenagers and young adults who may be struggling with their mental health, feeling vulnerable, or facing thoughts of suicide. My hope is that no one who needs help ever feels alone or unheard.
Tommy was happy, funny, intelligent and deeply loved, with a wide circle of friends. He didn’t look like someone who was struggling — and that’s exactly why this work matters so much. What we see on the outside doesn’t always reflect what someone is carrying on the inside.
Through awareness, education and funding meaningful initiatives, the Foundation is committed to breaking stigma and creating real, practical change. Our aim is simple, but urgent: to help prevent young people from suffering in silence, and to spare other families the heartbreak that we live with every day.
Every donation, every conversation, and every act of kindness helps keep Tommy’s legacy alive — and brings hope to someone who may need it most."
As an example of the great work that the foundation undertakes, they've trained 100’s of grassroots football coaches impacting 1,000’s of young players across London and the South East. This is achieved through partnerships with FA’s, League’s and professional footballers alike.
As coach to an U15 girls football team, I have experienced this support first hand and the foundation has helped us as a club keep many girls and boys playing football through their teenage years.
This support gives them the opportunity to keep playing a team sport through some of their most challenging years, it gives them like minded friends and people skills that they might not necessarily develop.
Thanks for your support
Keith & James
