Adventure Buddies Charity Ball In aid of Mountain Rescue England & Wales, 11 November 2023
We are on call 24/7, 365 days a year to provide mountain search and rescue.

Story

Mountain rescue is of utmost importance due to the unique and challenging nature of mountainous terrain. Accidents, injuries, and emergencies can occur unexpectedly, leaving individuals stranded, injured, or in life-threatening situations. Mountain rescue teams play a crucial role in locating, accessing, and providing aid to those in distress. Their expertise, specialised equipment, and training are essential for navigating these terrains, conducting high-altitude rescues, and administering medical care in remote and difficult-to-reach locations.

Without mountain rescue services, countless lives would be at risk, and the outdoor community would face heightened dangers and decreased safety. By promptly responding to emergencies, mountain rescue teams save lives, provide reassurance to adventurers, and ensure the preservation of our cherished mountain environments. However, they cannot fulfil their duties without the generous support of individuals like you.

Join us for our fabulous event ‘Light Up the Mountains for Mountain Rescue England and Wales’, which will take place in 3 stunning locations, on Saturday 7th October 2023 at 5.30pm. Entry will be based on a £5.00 donation so please ensure you show your support by donating and gaining sponsors if possible. Of course, if you cannot attend the event donations will still be gratefully received.

Full details of the walks taking place at Pen Y Fan (South Wales), Mam Tor/Great Ridge Peaks and Catbells Lake District, can be found at the link on the bottom of the page.

By donating to our cause, you contribute directly to the safety and well-being of mountaineers and adventurers. Every contribution, no matter how big or small, makes a significant difference in ability to respond swiftly and effectively to emergencies. Together, let us ensure that those who explore the majestic peaks are protected and that no call for help goes unanswered.

Thank you in advance of your support!

* The MREW charity ball will still be taking place on 11th November 2023.
