Megan's fundraiser for Aphasia Support in memory of Keith Whitehead

Megan Whitehead is raising money for Aphasia Support
In memory of Keith Whitehead
Aphasia is a language disorder which affects a person’s ability to speak, read, write and understand language. There are an estimated 350,000 people living with a diagnosis of Aphasia in the UK, often the devastating result of a stroke or head injury. Aphasia Support is a registered charity providing tailored speech and language therapy and long-term support to people with Aphasia, and their carers. The charity aims to improve the quality of life for people with Aphasia, helping them to regain control, confidence and independence. With your kindness and generosity, we can create a world where every person with Aphasia has access to support and can communicate with confidence.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

We would appreciate donations in memory of Keith Whitehead, our loving husband, dad, grandad and great-grandad. Following a stroke in June 2024 Keith developed Aphasia and found the help from Aphasia Support, especially the Aphasia Cafe’s, invaluable.

Sadly on 18th June 2025 we lost Keith suddenly but we know that without Aphasia Support he wouldn’t have had the last 12 months that he did. That’s why at the funeral collection we have chosen to raise money for Aphasia Support to help others in a similar situation.
