The theme for International Women’s Day this year is Accelerate Action … and what better way to do this than supporting the supporters. The call for action for IWD 2025 is to incorporate an element of women-focused fundraising, so in planning how we would celebrate at Connect 2 Cleanrooms, I had a look at local women’s charities in Lancashire. And what better charity to support than Lancashire Women?

Race Across the World became a family favourite in our house during Covid, and when I stumbled across this fundraiser on the Lancashire Women website it seemed as though the stars had all aligned! With very little persuasion, my husband agreed it was a fantastic idea and the rest, as they say, is history.

So here we are, we’ve signed up for the Race Across Lancashire weekend and are thrilled to be supporting such an amazing charity …

Lancashire Women support around 5000 individuals each year across Lancashire, by offering a safe space for women to seek support and access a wide range of FREE services, including Mental Health & Wellbeing, Employment Support, Money, Debt & Energy Advice, and Justice & Safety.

The struggles around rising bills and the general increase in cost of living has left us desperately in need of funding to continue to run our vital services.

This is where you wonderful people come in; your support can mean real lives changed for women in Lancashire.
