We stop men dying by suicide. Since opening in 2018, we’ve helped more than 6,000 suicidal men access free, life-saving therapy at our centres in Liverpool, London, Newcastle and Birmingham. 75% of deaths by suicide are men, but suicides are preventable. Donate today to help save lives.

Story

At James' Place, our mission is to stop men dying by suicide. In the UK, suicide is the leading cause of death for men under 35 and men consistently account for around three-quarters of suicides.

We believe that no man should face a suicidal crisis alone. James' Place provides free, life-saving therapy to suicidal men at our centres in Liverpool, London, Newcastle and Birmingham. Since opening in 2018, we have helped more than 5,100 men through their crisis.

Your donation could help save a man's life.

I was one of those men.

I’ve been dealing with my own struggles and the conversations at James places make you feel comfortable, there is no judging, there is no right or wrong, the people here are there to support you with whatever it is you need. Whether that’s guidance to change your perspective on outcomes from situations, how you react emotionally in said times of doubt and despair, an if that’s not what you want they will sit and listen which sometimes is all we need.

As men we all feel like we need to stand on our own two feet an asking for help sometimes can be seen as a weakness, insecurity may possibly make you anxious feeling like if you do reach out you become less of a man. This is not the case!

If your friend, brother, dad, grandad, uncle, husband whatever man it may be in your life was down in the mud you’d reach out and help them get out of the hole. So if your one of them men who feels like they have no one swallow the pride and ego for an hour and go and talk to someone ask for the help. If you had to carry something which is too heavy and you’re struggling you ask for help. Youse this same mentality when it comes to your mental health we don’t your not asking for someone to carry you through, it’s a helping hand or a shoulder to lean on when times become difficult.

If you could donate it would be much appreciated and if you don’t have it to give share my post whether through Facebook, instagram, X or you speak to your mates about it. Yes raising money is fantastic but it’s just as good as spreading awareness to this matter.

And to anyone who’s got this far reading thank you.🤣

Love yes
