Story
"He was showing cancer it picked a fight with the wrong person"
In January 2021, our world shifted. My brother in law, Kyran, was diagnosed with bowel cancer. It was a shock that no one—especially someone as vibrant as Kyran—should ever have to face. But he didn't back down. He fought with a strength that redefined the word "hero" for all of us.
The "House-pital" That Held Him
During his final journey, Kyran and his family found sanctuary at Pilgrims Hospice. They called it his "house-pital"—a place of dignity, love, and surprisingly good food (he genuinely felt he was being fed like a king!).
Whether it was the room overlooking the gardens or the family area where his children could still just be kids, the Hospice gave Kyran peace. They didn't just provide medical care; they provided a home when life felt the most uncertain.
Our Challenge: 3 Peaks. 24 Hours. 1 Legacy.
Kyran passed away in September 2024, leaving a void that can’t be filled. Now, it’s our turn to fight for him.
As a team of 6, we are tackling the National Three Peaks Challenge. We will summit the highest mountains in Scotland, England, and Wales (Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike, and Snowdon) back-to-back. 23 miles of hiking, 3,000 metres of ascent, and 450 miles of driving—all within 24 hours.
It will be grueling, exhausting, and painful. But it’s nothing compared to the bravery Kyran showed every day.
