Story
Thank you so much for visiting my page. It’s been twenty years since I lost my mum to cervical cancer that later spread to her lungs, and I’m running the Kirkcaldy Half Marathon for Cancer Research UK in her memory. Losing her changed everything, but so has the progress research has made — thanks to the HPV vaccine, cervical cancer deaths in young women have now fallen to zero, and the disease is on the brink of being almost eradicated in the younger generation. That gives me real hope. I’m also running for my family members and friends who have or are currently going through treatment, carrying my mum’s resilience with me every step. Supporting this research means giving more families the future my mum didn’t get, and your donation truly means the world.
